Cultural fragmentation in female representation
“Identity and Metamorphosis” is a collection that invites reflection on how social factors like consumerism, stereotypes, and digital culture influence the perception and representation of women. Through visual works that move between the beautiful and the surreal, the exhibition demonstrates how feminine identities can be constructed, deconstructed, and reinvented according to social pressures. These pieces challenge traditional ideas of beauty and identity, posing questions about the impact of social filters and proposing fragmented narratives that alternate between alienation and affirmation.
The collection employs modern techniques and traditional symbols (such as the moon, veils, and various emotional expressions) to connect the past and present, highlighting that female identity, like male identity, is complex, creative, and constantly transforming. It reflects the compositional freedom of our era, in which identities are rapidly consumed and there is a need to expand social perception. Freedom of expression is essential for cultural advancement, allowing different ideas and perspectives to interact. The works, far from being linear, represent fluid and ambivalent identities, inviting reflection on the role of digital art as a form of resistance and visibility in a technologically mediated and ever-changing society.
