Welcome to the Virtual Dorado Museum, a unique space where art, technology and creativity merge in an unsettling digital environment. This museum not only exhibits digital works and sculptures that defy the laws of physics, but it is also Alhma's cultural experimentation laboratory. Inspired by the age-old tradition of gilding and reinterpreted with cutting-edge technologies, the museum explores the relationship between the tangible and the virtual, minimalism and chaos, human emotion and artificial intelligence. Ethical, alethic, aesthetic and thymic values available to the user in the form of new symbolic imaginaries full of eclecticism and mystification, which speak of our time but also of the past upon which they are founded.
The colour gold has played a significant role throughout the history of art, traditionally associated with power, the sacred, wealth and spiritual transcendence. Its use has varied according to cultural context and era, shifting historically between the mystical and the critical, yet without ever losing its capacity to impact. It is the colour that reminds us of the magnificence of the divine in Byzantine mosaics and Gothic paintings, but also of the voluptuousness of certain works by Gustav Klimt and the brilliance that blinds us to the illusions of the mundane. In every work that adopts it, gold challenges the viewer to look beyond the surface, to discover the multiple meanings hidden within its radiance.
A QUICK OVERVIEW
